Two Audience Awards and new festivals!

Great News! 
But Milk is Important won it's 11th and 12th award this weekend!!
The first one was at Sweaty Eyeballs in Baltimore, US! The film tied with "Futon" for the Audience Choice Award!

The second was at Aesthetica Short Film Festival in UK where the film won People's Choice Award!

10th Award! - Best Student Film - Semafor Stop Motion Festival

Huzza!

But Milk Is Important takes its 10th award at the 4th Semafor International Stop Motion Film Festival!

A lot of good films where screened and we are proud to come out top of the jury's decision. Thank you! Eirik was present at the festival and also got the chance to meet many nice people.

The festival is held in the city of Łódź, Poland. Here you find the Semafor studio which are responsible for the great Oscar winning short film "Peter and the Wolf"
They are currently working on a childrens series called "Flapper and Friends"

Two new awards in Ottawa!!

We are super happy to get two new awards at Ottawa International Animation Festival, North Americas largest Animation Festival! The awards are: Walt Disney Award for Best Graduate Film  and  Public Price for the festivals Best Short Film!
Thank you to the Jury and to the audience! It makes us very proud and also inspired :)
We also went to visit the festival and we enjoyed it a lot! It was a super good festival and we met so many great people! Thank you!

Milano, Adelaide, Bradford and Animated Eden !

A small update about new festivals. We are very happy to have been selected for a couple of new festivals:

The film is selected for a showcase of animation shorts called Animation is my Drug including "some of the best international animated short films going around in a collection that will have you hooked for life" at Adelaide Film Festival 10-20 October in Australia.

It is also part of 'Focus of Animation' of the 18th edition of Milano Film Festival 5-15 September 2013. 'Focus of Animation' is a "screening featuring the most interesting animations produced last couple of years".

But Milk Is Important has also been chosen for the Bradford Animation Festival 2013 official selection, competing in the student category. The festival is from 12-16 November.

AND least but not last, it is selected for the festival Animated Eden 2013, 8th of September, the film is screening in the Artistic Potluck category!

New Award! Giffoni International Film Festival!!

We are super happy, proud and thankful to win Best Animated Short Film in the 18+ category at Giffoni International Film Festival 2013!! 

The Giffoni International Film Festival is the largest children's film festival in Europe, and possibly in the World. Over 2000 children attend the festival from 39 countries around the world. During the festival, the children and teenagers watch the films, learn about the process filmmaking process, and are called to judge them and award the best ones with prizes.

To have the audience as the jury makes it extra special to win this prize! Thank you!!

Ottawa International Animation Festival, Guanajuato International Film Festival and Giffoni Film Festival!

But Milk is Important has been selected for the Official Competition in the Graduation Animation Category at the Ottawa 2013 International Animation Festival.

Ottawa is one of the leading Canadian animation festivals and we are very happy to be one of the selected films!
The festival runs from September 18-22 so if you are there you know what to do.

We have also been informed that But Milk is Important has been chosen to form part of the Official Selection in the Academy Award qualifying category of Short Animation Film at the Guanajuato International Film Festival 2013 in Mexico.

This is really fun for us to know our film will be all the way over to Mexico
Its from July 19th - 28th and is packed with a good programme.

And also Giffoni Film Festival in Italy have chosen our film to be screened in their programme! The film will compete in the Generator +18 Short Films. 

We are very pleased and proud to be able to show our work in this world leading film festival for children and young adults.

Its from 19-28th July and takes place in the little Italian town of Giffoni Valle Piana in Campania, Southern Italy.
